Please note that you are receiving this e-mail because you are enrolled as a Graduate Student at EWU for Fall Quarter 2009. The University does not disenroll students for non attendance.
ORALS COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Graduating Fall 2009 and have a third person for your graduate committee arranged?
Please let us know as soon as possible!
Finding third committee members for orals committees is a daunting task that Julie Marr, our Advisor/Recruiter, works on every quarter. If you have made arrangements for a third committee member for your orals committee, please let her know before she assigns one to you. Her contact information is JMarr@ewu.edu or 509.359.2491.
COLLEGE RE-ORGANIZATION OPEN FORUM
As you may know, Eastern is exploring options to reorganize its six colleges into four (or fewer). There is a Student Forum regarding the reorganization scheduled for November 5th at 2:00 PM in the PUB MPR. All are welcome to attend.
EagleNET WILL BE UNAVAILABLE
EagleNET will be unavailable from 4:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6 until 5:00 p.m. on Monday November 9. We will do our best to help if you have questions during this time, please call our main office at 509.359.6297.
APPLICATIONS FOR GRADUATION
Applications
for graduation are due in to the Graduate Studies Office no later than the
second Friday of the quarter PRIOR
to your expected quarter of degree completion.

Summer 2010 Friday April 9, 2010 (If you wish to be in the commencement bulletin, please apply by the spring deadline.)
For students who plan to participate in the 2010 commencement ceremonies and/or plan to graduate spring quarter 2010, applications for graduation are due in the Graduate Studies Office no later than January 15, 2010. If your application is received late it will be at the discretion of the Graduate Studies Office to include your information in the commencement bulletin (no applications received after February 12, 2010 will be considered for inclusion in the commencement bulletin).
The cost is currently $34.20. If the application is submitted late there will be a $12.00 late fee assessed.
You are able to download the paper graduation applications on the Graduate Studies web site or you may pick one up at any of our physical locations. On the web site there is also a Word document format (.rtf format) that you may download, complete in Word, and e-mail to us. If you chose this option your account will be charged for the appropriate amount when we receive the application and you may then pay on-line through Eaglenet or at any other university location where funds are accepted.
GRADUATION 2010
Graduation this year will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010. Please remember to apply by the Spring 2010 deadline (Friday, January 15, 2010) if you intend to participate in commencement, even if you plan to complete your degree during the summer of 2010.
NEED ADVICE? HAVE QUESTIONS?
The Graduate Studies Office has office hours in Spokane! Drop off candidacies or get help completing them, submit graduation applications, and almost everything else the Graduate Office in Cheney does, but in Spokane. Come see us at our Riverpoint office (Monday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., later by appointment).

The Graduate Studies Office sends all correspondence to you through your e-mail address and your local address as you have them listed on Eaglenet. If you move or change an address or phone number, please go on-line to Eaglenet and update your information.
CANDIDACIES
Applications
for Candidacy are due in to this office after you have completed 15 credits and
before you have completed one half of your degree program. If you have
any questions about how to complete this form there are candidacy directions
available on our web site along with the Candidacy
Forms.
