About Examples

In this section we provide examples of some of the things you can create using POV-Ray, and tools that assist in their creation.  Some of the examples are incredibly detailed for how little code it takes to make them.  These ones really highlight the power of POV-Ray.

To the left you'll see a "Navigation" window with a list of various examples.  Click on one to see the example along with some personal opinions of the example. 

On most examples you can click on the smaller image in the page to download a higher resolution copy of the image, or a movie if it is an animation.

Below the image you can usually find a link to the .pov file used to create it.  Click on this to download the POV file.  On Windows with a typical installation the file type is associated with POV-Ray and so opening it will start POV-Ray for you to render it yourself if you like.

Some images may be copyrighted, and reproduction may not be allowed.  Any copyrighted examples produced here with author permission will be noted as copyrighted.
